Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient modality, dating back at least 2500 years to East Asia. Hair-thin, sterile, single use filiform needles will be inserted below the skin in order to stimulate an acupoint. Electrostimulation may be applied to a needle, and often feels similar to a TENS unit.

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are used to unblock stagnation and to bring the body back to a state of balance and harmony.

When your body, mind, spirit, and emotions are out of balance, you may begin to manifest or succumb more easily to pathologies.

The focus of Chinese Medicine is to help you restore and unblock your Qi, the Vital Life Force.

Accessory modalities such as Shiatsu (Japanese Acupressure Meridian Therapy), Guasha (gentle scraping), Cupping (vacuum pressure), or heat therapies such as moxibustion or far infrared mineral heat lamp therapy may be applied if deemed beneficial for treatment.

Herbalism is also offered and may be recommended in certain circumstances, at an additional cost with the Golden Lotus formula tinctures available in house or to order when available, if considered beneficial to your care, can make a great way to continue your care at home on a daily basis.
